At the base of all journalism is writing. It took me until going to the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication to grasp that. I take great pride in my ability to write and know it’s importance to the broadcasting I do too.

My best writing sample stems from a class I took my senior year at Arizona State, Depth Sports Reporting, where we focused on techniques to maximize our research, preparation, interviews, and writing. It all accumulated into my final story, “A Package Deal,” which highlights twin high school football coaches and dives deep on their background and what makes them the coaches they are.
