Podcasts and Radio

I love how podcasting allows me to be creative and think out loud about my sports thoughts, opinions, and facts. I have had the pleasure to do several different podcasts with my several different friends that all thought differently, so all of my podcasts are unique.

My biggest project in terms of podcasting is the Padres EVT Podcast. This podcast has been around for four years now, and I’m the new co-host and producer alongside my editor and site founder of East Village Times, James Clark. On this podcast, we interview some of the biggest names in San Diego sports or MLB.

I relinquished my duties as host prior to leaving for my DockHounds season, but with James and others, I hosted and produced 50 episodes. Below are a few of my favorite episodes:

I got the gig as the co-host and producer of the Padres EVT Podcast because of my work on Devils Talking Padres. My friend and colleague, Bobby Murphy, and I are both Padres fans and attend ASU. We decided to combine both of those with a podcast: Devils Talking Padres.

Below was our final episode:

Blaze Radio

In my Freshman year at ASU, I joined Blaze Radio. Blaze is the student run radio station at ASU, and in Blaze they offer the opportunity to have podcasts if you don’t want/have a show. I had two podcasts in my fall freshman year, which are now shows.

Golden Sombrero: A baseball podcast with two other co-hosts. I am the moderator.

4-3: A football and basketball podcast, that originally had 4 people, but would rotate to 3 for basketball. 4-3 is a football formation, and thus the name.

While we could not use our studio at Blaze Sophomore year as a precaution against spreading COVID-19, we have streamed the 4-3 Show and the Golden Sombrero Show on YouTube. Above is a 4-3 show, and below is a Golden Sombrero Show. Now that we are back in studio, we still stream our shows on YouTube so that viewers can also see us.
